Riki Conrey is a story scientist with twenty years of experience turning data into insights. Her work focuses on using technology to enhance human connection. At Harmony Labs, she leads a team of engineers and data scientists who use data to understand how society and stories influence each other. Riki’s team has coded 2,000 TV shows and films for relevance to government and portrayals of the future, analyzed 25 million YouTube videos to identify types of curiosity that attract young audiences to educational content, and mapped gaming fandoms to understand the heroic aspirations of gamers. With a PhD in Psychology, Riki brings a human-centered perspective to technology, creating products that make data insights accessible to non-technical users.
