Amy Sewell brings to Harmony Labs over 30 years' experience in multiple facets of business, management, and media making. She has been operations manager at Women Make Movies, and director of communications and development for Urban Dove, in addition to holding various positions in the publishing sector. Amy is a writer and a producer, best known for her award-winning, audience-favorite feature documentary Mad Hot Ballroom and, more recently, the documentary short Good Muslim Girls. Among the books Amy has published are The Mad Hot Adventures of an Unlikely Documentary Filmmaker and She's Out There! The Next Generation of Presidential Candidates. Amy serves on the board of Reel Works Teen Filmmaking and is a member of NYWIFT, WGA-West and The Gotham (formerly IFP). She has a BA from University of Michigan and an MBA from Schiller International University. Painting, poker, sailing, backpacking, watching college sports with the hubby, and witnessing her 20+ something twin daughters soar joyously round out her days.
