Narendra Nandoe

As Chief of the Meetings Support Section of the United Nations, Narendra Nandoe oversees operations providing a wide-range of conference services to over 9,000 meetings held every year at the Organization’s Headquarters in New York, including those of the General Assembly and Security Council. Since joining the UN in 2000, Narendra has held various positions in the Organization’s broadcasting and publishing operations.

Before joining the UN, Narendra worked mainly in consumer marketing with an emphasis on helping companies enter new markets. This experience ranged from co-founding a specialized advertising agency in Boston to Director of Marketing for Warner Bros.’ first-ever branded cable network. From 1998 to 2000, Narendra served in the Cabinet of the President of Suriname assisting the Senior Environmental Official in implementing a project to establish a national environmental management structure. Today, the National Institute for Environment and Development, is a fully functioning entity contributing to the sustainable development of Suriname.

Narendra has a BS in Journalism from Boston University, and a MBA in International Business from the Maastricht School of Management.
