Enigma
Marc Da Costa is a creative technologist whose work engages with the intersection of emerging data technologies and lived experience. Working across multiple fields, Marc co-founded Enigma, an AI-driven linked data company in New York and holds a Ph.D. in cultural anthropology from the University of California where his research focused on Antarctic research expeditions and the role of cartography in shaping our understanding of anthropogenic climate change. His writing about technology and culture has appeared in The New York Times, The Guardian and elsewhere. Marc is also a term member at the Council on Foreign Relations and has held fellowships at the National Science Foundation, Intel Labs, the Robert Bosch Stiftung and the Columbia Journalism School.
