Resilient Democracy
Nick Chedli Carter is the director of the Resilient Democracy initiative, and a philanthropic advisor with a focus on civic engagement. Nick is keenly interested in identifying and scaling effective initiatives that merge innovative technology, media, and inclusive voting practices with people-driven organizing. This is towards closing equity gaps in who benefits from innovation, towards increasing civic participation, and ultimately more inclusive and durable civic identities.
Nick has held senior positions on presidential, federal and statewide electoral campaigns, policy advocacy efforts, and initiatives to build technical capacity and improve media literacy for nonprofit organizations. He is a Harvard Kennedy School Ash Center Technology and Democracy Fellow where he has focused on how state-anchored civic organizations integrate emerging technologies and practices into their programs
He has also worked at VICE, Planned Parenthood, CCTV Center for Media and Democracy, and is a proud Americorps Alumni.
