
Lead Strategist
Kana Hammon has 15 years of experience using research to improve narrative strategy, cultural campaigns, and software development. She is the Lead Strategist at Harmony Labs, helping clients apply research findings and developing tools and processes to make research more applicable.
Prior to Harmony Labs, Kana developed the first audience personas for Asian Americans; supported award-winning messaging and cultural campaigns for issues like affirmative action, voting, and immigrants; and worked with the Butterfly Lab for Immigrant Narrative Strategy to develop curriculum that has shaped how social justice movements do narrative work. Her work has been recognized by the Webby Awards, the Westly Foundation, the Analyst Institute, and Stanford’s Graduate School of Business.
Kana lives in San Francisco and enjoys playing with the SF Tsunami water polo team, swimming in the Bay, and cooking delicious dinners for friends.
